Rencontre en Juin 2013 à Paris

Chers Fraterniens,

Une petite « équipe organisatrice » provisoire s’est réunie vendredi dernier et vous présente l’avant-projet suivant, concernant l’organisation de notre « grande » rencontre de juin 2013, à l’occasion notamment du 90e anniversaire de M. Brun. Nous vous adressons ce courrier pour avoir une idée du nombre de participants. Ensuite, une équipe plus nombreuse sera constituée et prendra en charge la préparation et l’organisation des événements prévus. N’oubliez pas de transmettre ce message à tous vos amis Fraterniens !

AVANT-PROJET

Une grande rencontre fraternienne est prévue pour le mois de juin 2013 en France, à l’occasion notamment du 90e anniversaire de M. Brun, notre ancien Directeur et Président de l’Association Fraternité de SAIGON-CHOLON. A remarquer aussi que, en cette année 2013, notre ancien Collège aura 105 ans car le Lycée FRANCO-CHINOIS a été créé en 1908.

Deux événements majeurs sont proposés, pour nous permettre de nous rencontrer et de passer, nous l’espérons, de bons moments ensemble.

Premier événement - un grand repas à la française dans une salle à Paris ; la date retenue pourra être le dimanche 9 juin ou le dimanche 16 juin à midi ; la date définitive sera fixée après ce « sondage » auprès de vous (voir à la fin de ce message). La présence de M. Brun à ce repas dépendra de son état de santé à cette période. Les Fraterniens qui ne résident pas à Paris pourront profiter de leur présence dans la capitale pour effectuer des visites, se rencontrer, etc. Nous vous signalons que vous pourrez vous héberger au Centre International de Séjour de Paris  (CISP)  http://www.cisp.fr/cisp/pages/home-11.html , où vous pourrez vous inscrire soit individuellement soit en groupe. Prix indiqué sur le site : de 20 à 62 euros par nuit. Votre séjour complet sera à votre charge ; le prix du « grand repas » vous sera indiqué après réservation de la salle.

Deuxième événement – un voyage de 3 jours de Paris en Bretagne et retour. Prévisions : départ de Paris le mercredi (qui suivra le repas mentionné ci-dessus) pour visiter le Mont Saint-Michel et, sur la route, repas avec spécialité de la région ; 2 nuits dans un hôtel proche du domicile de M. Brun ; visite à M. Brun chez lui le jeudi et petites excursions dans les environs de Plouër-sur-Rance, notamment Saint-Malo et Cancale. Retour prévu à Paris le vendredi. Selon le nombre de participants, nous louerons un car avec chauffeur pour ces 3 jours. Le prix du car et celui des 2 nuits d’hôtel seront négociés selon le nombre de participants. Les repas seront à la charge de chacun. Si vous souhaitez effectuer ce voyage, il faudra vous inscrire (voir à la fin de ce message) et verser une avance pour nous permettre de retenir le car et l’hôtel. Cette avance devra se faire, si vous résidez en Europe, par chèque libellé en euros ; si vous ne résidez pas dans la zone euro, l’avance se fera exclusivement par virement sur un compte.

A small “temporary team” met last friday in Paris to discuss the organization of a big meeting which will take place in France in June 2013.

We're sending you this mail to ask how many of you are willing to come and take part in that event.

Later on, as soon as we have received your replies, a more important team will be set up in order to prepare and organize the scheduled event.

In the mean time, we'd like to submit the following pilot-study of the event to all of you. Please forward this mail to your friends!

PILOT- STUDY

A big meeting with the fraterniens is scheduled in June 2013. It will be an opportunity to celebrate Mr Michel BRUN's 90th birthday.

As all of us know, Mr Brun was the Principal of our beloved College Fraternité until 1975 and also the Chairman of the Association Fraternité de Saigon-Cholon. And this is worth noting that College Fraternité will be 105 years old next year, since it was created in 1908.

We the fraterniens in Paris are proposing 2 major events to all of you, the fraterniens in Europe, America, etc., so that we take advantage of this event to see again old friends and make new acquaintances and have a good time together, we hope.

First Event:

A big Luncheon 'à la française' will take place in a restaurant in Paris either on Sunday June 9th 2013 or Sunday June 16th.  The final date will be set after we have received the 'results of the poll' concerning the event.

Of course, Mr Brun's presence at the luncheon will depend on his state of health.

We want to point out to you that the fraterniens living in the provinces or abroad can find accomodation at the Centre International de Séjour de Paris (CISP : http://www.cisp.fr/) Tel: 33 01 43 58 96 00 - Fax: 33 01 43 58 95 14. Price list on the site from 22€ to 62€ per person and per night.

The costs of your lodgings in Paris will be at your expenses. As for the luncheon, we will let you know the prices later on as soon as we have reserved the dining-room at the restaurant.

Second event:

A 3-Day Trip from Paris to Bretagne and back in a bus with chauffeur (like a Greyhound).

  Planning:

    - Departing from Paris on Wednesday (following the Luncheon mentionned above) on a sightseeing tour to Mont St Michel + a meal in a restaurant or an auberge which serves the specialties of the region.

    - 2 nights in a hotel not too far from Mr Brun's home

     - Visit to Mr Brun on Thursday + excursions around Plouer sur Rance, St Malo and Cancale, famous for its oysters

     - Trip back to Paris on Friday

 The organizing team will negociate the renting of the bus with chauffeur and the booking of the hotel, depending on the number of the people who will take part in the trip to Bretagne.

Of course, each one of us will have to pay his own meals in the restaurants.

If you wish to make the trip to Bretagne, you'll have to register and pay a deposit which will allow us to book the bus and the hotel.

You can either send us a check in € if you reside in Europe (Zone Euro) or make a money transfer on a bank- account if you live elsewhere (North America, for example).
